Willard Eugene Millikan, 78, of Littleton, died July 7. Millikan was born in Littleton on April 3, 1922. He married Gloria Bradley in 1946. He was a petroleum geologist and was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Survivors include his wife; daughters Marilyn Young and Suzanne Southern; and four grandchildren.
Albert F. Sanborn, of Englewood, a retired petroleum geologist, died July 18. He was 87.
He was born June 21, 1913, in Biggs, California. In 1936 he married Lucile Pedroni Fleming. She preceded him in death. He then married Marie Clayton in 1971.
He received a bachelor of science degree from Fresno State University and a master’s degree and PhD from Stanford University.
He was a petroleum geologist for Chevron for 30 years and retired in 1982, continuing to work as an independent consultant.
He was a professor emeritus of geophysics at the University of California and publisher of numerous professional publications.
He was a member of the Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, Stanford University Alumni Association, Stanford Rocky Mountain Alumni Association, Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists, Society of Independent Profession Exploration Scientists, and Sons of the American Revolution, Mount Evans Chapter.
He is survived by his wife; a son, William B., Mulberry, Florida; a daughter, Shelby Sanborn Birch, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; a stepdaughter, Karyn P. Zimmerman, Littleton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
