The Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists is pleased to present Bruce Kelso with its Distinguished Service to RMAG award. This award is given to members who have contributed to RMAG in significant and beneficial ways.

With the current emphasis on Coalbed Methane exploration and production in the Rocky Mountain area, Bruce’s contributions to RMAG’s effort to provide continuing education for its members is exemplary. He has provided technical and practical insight to this major gas play with his volunteer efforts supporting the following RMAG symposia:

1988 – committee member, Coalbed Methane Symposium (Durango, CO)
1991 – field trip chairman, Coalbed Methane Symposium (Denver)
1999 – co-chairperson, Coalbed Methane Symposium (Denver)
2000 – general chairperson, Coalbed Methane Symposium (Denver)

During his 20 years as a member, Bruce has also served on the RMAG Board as secretary in 1993 and councilor in 1996 and 1997. He served as luncheon program chairman in 1994 and 1995.

In recognition of these significant contributions, we are pleased to present Bruce Kelso with the Distinguished Service Award.
