Publication: The Outcrop, January 2000, p. 12
The Wyoming State Geological Survey has just released a new 1:350,000-scale map entitled “Oil and Gas Fields Map of Central and Northwestern Wyoming Basins.” The map shows the locations and areal extents of over 250 active and abandoned oil and gas fields, color coded by the predominant age of their reservoir rocks. Also shown are pipelines and the types of fluid they transport, the locations of gas plants and refineries with their processing capacities, and a list of productive reservoirs for each field.
Catalogued as Map Series 53, this is the most detailed published oil and gas map available for the Bighorn and Wind River basins of Wyoming. This is the third map in a series of four new oil and gas maps of Wyoming produced by the State Geological Survey in digital format. Plotted versions of the Map Series 53 sell for $25 each, rolled only. Please add $1.50 for a mailing tube, $2.75 for 1st class postage, and 6% sales tax for Wyoming addresses.
