Title: RMAG February Board of Directors Meeting
Author: Jay Leaver, Secretary
Publication: The Outcrop, April 2009, p. 16
The Board of Directors met on February 11th to the good news that so far our expenditures and income are matching projected levels tolerably well. Don Stone’s structural geology short course was highly successful, and the 3D Seismic Symposium is on track for another good run. We urge all techno-savvy members to attend the “Tips and Tricks” short course in April. And we’re continuing to work on preparing for the AAPG National Meeting in June.
For future short courses, we are exploring possible venues besides the Marriott, which is getting rather pricey. We need a sizeable ballroom (more than 300 people is optimal), with facilities for handling lunches. Anyone with ideas for possible venues in the downtown area please contact Jay Leaver (Secretary) at GeoLeaver@aol.com.
The Mountain Geologist is seeking help for its editorial staff – anyone interested in helping keep this publication vital and informative, please contact Genevieve Young at firstname.lastname@example.org.
And finally, after many years in the Symes Building, RMAG is moving across the street to the University Building, where we have secured a five-year lease in a bright, welcoming office space. Our new address is:
Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists
910 Sixteenth Street, Suite 1125
Denver, Colorado 80202

Future Board of Directors Meetings will be in the University Building Conference Room. The April meeting will be on the 15th at 4:00 p.m. in the University Building Conference Room (hopefully that date won’t tax us too much). The May meeting will be on the 20th at 4:00 p.m.
