Each year the RMAG presents the Neil J. Harr Memorial Outstanding Student Award (known informally as the Pick Award) to the outstanding graduating senior from each of Colorado’s ten colleges and universities that offer geology degrees. Each student is selected by the faculty of his or her school on the basis of academic performance and professional promise. The awardees each receive a certificate and engraved rock hammer.
