Operational and Financial
Membership as of 11/14/2000 is 1927, compared to 1935 same time last year. Final financial reports for the CBM Symposium and the Golf and Tennis tournaments show profit to RMAG. The Prospect Fair/Technofest drew approximately 200 more attendees this year and had 50% more booths compared to last year. The Rockbuster’s Ball was a very enjoyable, well-attended event that honored the RMAG awardees and introduced candidates for the 2001 RMAG Board of Directors.
The Treasurer’s report to RMAG members at the Annual Meeting, December 1st, was discussed; the presentation will provide a summary of office and operational upgrades (website), end-of-year (EOY) financials and highlights of RMAG activities (symposia/events) in 2000. The EOY projections for the 2000 RMAG fiscal year, ending November 30th, show a net positive cash flow. The Board reviewed the proposed 2001 budget; the new Board will vote on the finalized 2001 budget at the January Board meeting.
A “Luncheon Chair” letter was reviewed by the Board, and with slight modifications will be sent to local companies. This letter invites companies to buy a company luncheon seat priced by the quarter, or for one year, to encourage participation in the Friday speaker program.
Office staff salary and bonus recommendations were reviewed and approved by the Board. Additionally, Sandi Pellissier’s job title has been elevated to Executive Director, effective December 1, 2000.
A Public Lands Policy Statement, co-written by the CO-AIPG Board and Leg/Reg Commission, was reviewed by the Board regarding whether RMAG officially can and/or should endorse this policy. RMAG endorsement of this policy will be voted on at the December Board meeting.
The RMAG Annual meeting and luncheon talk will be held on December 1st at the Petroleum Club. The 2000 and 2001 RMAG Board of Directors will have a joint board meeting at noon, December 8th at the Petroleum Club.
