Last year’s winner was John McKinney of Castle Rock Middle School. As the winner of the RMAG’s 2000 award, the RMAG has also nominated him for the AAPG 2000 Teacher of the Year award, which includes a cash prize of $5,000 split between the school and teacher.
If you are an excellent earth science teacher, or if you know of a teacher that you feel qualifies for this award, please call the RMAG office for an application. The deadline is March 30, 2001 and the awardee will be selected by May 4, 2001.
