Chester F. Bebber, 75, of Denver died at his home on October 19, after a long illness. Services were October 23, at the Nativity of Our Lord Church, Broomfield, CO.
He was born April 10, 1927 in Albuquerque, and attended the University of New Mexico after returning from service with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater, WWII. He earned a BA in Geology from the University of Montana in 1957.
A long-time member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Chet served on many local committees in support of scientific and professional activities.
Chet’s specialty was photo-geology and field work in the exploration for oil and gas, uranium, and geothermal. He worked in the U.S. and in many parts of the world for companies, foreign governments, and as a consulting geologist.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Weimer Bebber, 4 children, Sharon, Kurt, Duane, and Gary, and their families, including 9 grandchildren.
