RMAG Popular Geology Committee An Active Force in the Community

Title: RMAG Popular Geology Committee An Active Force in the Community
Publication: The Outcrop, May 2003, p. 11

Members of the RMAG Popular Geology Committee have been an active force in community outreach and public education. RMAG member Elmo Brown worked with 5th grade students at Kaiser Elementary School in southwest Denver for a period of 5 weeks. The goal was to give them an insight into geologic history and earth’s organisms changing through time.

The final product created by these young paleontologists was a classroom presentation of the geologic timeline. The project was coordinated through Community Resources of the Denver Public Schools.
