Congratulations to Gerald Brummett, our RMAG member for the month of June!
As an active member of RMAG for 14 years, Gerald has been very involved with the RMAG. His roots are in Lubbock, Texas, which, fun fact, is the same home town as the one and only Buddy Holly. After Lubbock, he became a Masked Rider, attaining a Business degree and a history minor in 1973 from Texas Tech. Since then, Gerald has worked in Dallas, Houston, and has now made his home in the Denver area with his wife Tracey. Gerald has a daughter (Kari Burdick) who currently resides in Houston giving him many reasons to go back and visit Texas.
Like many other RMAG members, Gerald got involved with the RMAG to be a part of the Oil & Gas community in Denver. From the newsletters to the social events, he was easily able to find ways to volunteer his time. Originally, Gerald chaired the RMAG Tennis tournament, however for the past few years, he has chaired the Golf Tournament, making it a key RMAG event. The RMAG is very thankful to have Gerald’s high energy, talent for bringing people together, and sharp focus on creating a fun atmosphere at the Golf Tournament. Without a doubt, Gerald tends to create one of the liveliest holes at the tournament. Golfers will find themselves being photographed wearing a sombrero or hula hoop, while listening to music being blasted out of a boom box.
One of the many things he loves about the RMAG is working with the staff. As he claims, “The RMAG office staff ROCKS!” However, it is the members that keep him and many others engaged. You can often find Gerald splitting a bag of Twizzlers (not Red Vines!) with fellow RMAG member Matt Silverman.
Member of the Month highlights RMAG members who have had a significant impact on the RMAG community. If you know of an RMAG member who is doing outstanding work, please nominate them by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
